The police did not take the case of BNP despite the case filed by Awami League regarding the attack on the electoral office of the candidate of Awami League and the party office of BNP in the Chittagong-10 (Pahartali-Halisahar-Doublemooring) by-election. BNP leaders and workers returned from Kotwali police station in the city around 5:30 pm while filing the case on Thursday.
Earlier, on Wednesday night, about 600 leaders and workers of BNP and its affiliates were charged with the attack, vandalism and vandalism of police vehicles and obstructing the movement of vehicles. Awami League activist Ariful Islam is the plaintiff in one of the two cases filed at Khulshi police station in the city. Another plaintiff is the police.
Advocate Abdus Sattar, joint convener of Nagar BNP, told Prothom Alo in the afternoon that the police did not file a case against 200 to 250 unidentified people after mentioning the names of the two and in connection with the vandalism of BNP's party office and burning of banners. They will file a case in court next Sunday.
